ABSOLUT - AB PROJECT with BATEKOO

Projeto AB: Empowering the LGBT+ Community with Absolut & Batekoo

Challenge:
Discrimination in employment against the LGBT+ community in Brazil is pervasive, with many professionals feeling compelled to hide their identity at work.

Solution:
In response, back in 2019 Absolut and the LGBT+ collective Batekoo launched Projeto AB, a professional training initiative designed to increase employability and entrepreneurship among LGBT+ individuals.

Execution:
Launched during International Pride Week in São Paulo, the project initially aimed to train participants in various skills including bartending and photography.

Results:
Projeto AB exceeded its goals, engaging over 250 students and mapping more than 900 job opportunities. This effort has made significant strides in Absolut's ongoing commitment to inclusivity and support for the LGBT+ community.
